The Regional Center of Orange County Board of Directors provides policy leadership and oversight of RCOC on behalf of the community. Board members volunteer their time, serving on committees that make policy recommendations to the board as a whole, and leading initiatives in areas such as housing and legislation.
Board members do not represent themselves alone or any special interest group and use RCOC’s mission, vision, values, and guiding principles to help lead the organization.

Board of Directors Training
RCOC is committed to equipping Board members with the training and support they need to provide strong leadership to our agency and adopt policies that positively impact the lives of the people we serve and their families. To that end, educational presentations are often made at Board of Directors meetings and during separate educational retreats. The link below is a listing of the various educational training provided to RCOC’s Board members since January 2016.
As per Welfare & Institutions Codes 4622(g)(1) “The regional center shall provide necessary training and support to these board members to facilitate their understanding and participation, including issues relating to linguistic and cultural competency ” and (g)(3) “Each regional center shall post on its Internet Web site information regarding the training and support provided to board members,” the Regional Center of Orange County conducts ongoing training for its Board of Directors.
